What is the difference between this official version and the earlier fan translated one? I see that this one is smaller in size.

^ I'd like to know as well. Does this version have any improvements? I didn't seem to have any issues with the old version.

Doubt it, iirc, Sekai Project Released the Official one, and we all know how shit Sekai is (speaking of which they've been silent for 2 years makes you think)

The size is different cos probably some files have better optimized compression in the new version. This is 1280x720("Original CGs have been cropped at the top and bottom, in order to obtain a widescreen resolution."), the old version is 800x600. It is also possible that there are some typos fixed, but I can't say. It's the same translation as in the old fan-translated release.
